From the
Gospel according to Mark (4:35-41): ‘A violent squall came up and waves were breaking over the boat...the disciples woke Jesus and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” He woke up, rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Quiet! Be still!” The wind ceased and there was great calm. Then he asked them, “Why are you terrified?
Do you not yet have faith?”
Our Holy Father’s March 27, 2020 Extraordinary moment of Prayer reminds: ‘
Faith begins when we realise we are in need of salvation. We are not self-sufficient; by ourselves we founder: we need the Lord... this is God’s strength: turning to the good everything that happens to us, even the bad things. He brings serenity into our storms, because with God life never dies.’
